Fall Book Study – Sun, Sept 20

November 15 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

FALL BOOK STUDY: SEE NO STRANGER

FLC’s Inclusion and Integration Team will host a fall book study of See No Stranger by Valarie Kaur. This book will help us explore the deep meaning of genuine inclusion.

Valarie Kaur tells a personal story that is “rooted in radical honesty, vulnerability, and fierce commitment to building a world in which we all belong” (Michelle Alexander). Her childhood and her religious tradition have taught her to see the world with wonder, saying You are a part of me I do not yet know. Using this lens, she shows us how we can love others, even our opponents, and ourselves.

The group will meet 3-4:30pm in the living room at the parsonage. Starting on September 20, we will meet three times, on the third Sunday of the month (Sept-Nov). We hope you will join us! For more information and links to purchase the book, go to valariekaur.com.
