WORSHIP & PRAYER
Altar Guild
This team cares for the sacristy and altar area, ensuring everything is prepared, organized, and beautiful for worship. They thoughtfully maintain the space and change the paraments to reflect the seasons of the church year, helping create a meaningful and reverent worship environment.
At First Lutheran Church, our vibrant music ministry enriches worship and offers meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to share their gifts. Whether through singing, playing instruments, or participating in ensembles, there is a place for everyone to be involved and grow in faith through music.
Centering Prayer, also known as the prayer of silence, is a contemplative practice that helps quiet the mind and open your heart to God’s presence. Through this time of stillness, participants experience deeper peace, insight, and connection with God. All are welcome to join.
Youth Ministry at First Lutheran Church offers opportunities for students to grow in faith, build friendships, and explore what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life. Through learning, service, and fellowship, youth are encouraged to live out their faith and share God’s love with others.
This group is for those in college, early career, or newly married who are looking to grow in faith and community. Gatherings include Bible study, conversation, games, and food, along with special events throughout the year.
Masterpiece is a Christian education class for children, youth, and adults with cognitive disabilities. The typical class includes fellowship and sharing, music, crafts, games, and other hands-on activities. Masterpiece meets September-May at First Lutheran.
Join us for a time of learning, discussion, and connection as we explore Scripture together. This welcoming group engages both the Old and New Testaments, offering space to grow in faith, ask questions, and deepen your understanding of God’s Word. All are invited to participate.
Join other women for a time of encouragement, connection, and growth in God’s Word. This group gathers to study Scripture, share insights, and support one another in faith and daily life. All women are welcome, no matter where you are on your faith journey.
Women’s Circles are small groups that gather regularly for Bible study, fellowship, and mutual support. These groups offer a welcoming space to build relationships, share life together, and grow in faith through meaningful conversation and Scripture.
Men of Iron is a group for men of all ages to gather for conversation, fellowship, and exploring God’s Word together. This is a welcoming space to grow in faith, build connections, and encourage one another in everyday life.
Break Bread Small Groups are a great way to connect with others and build meaningful relationships. These groups typically include 6–8 people who gather regularly for meals, conversation, and fellowship throughout the fall and spring.
If you enjoy hands-on projects like lawn care, painting, and tackling a variety of maintenance tasks, this is a great group to be part of. The BGs gather weekly to care for and maintain the church property while sharing in fellowship and teamwork.
First Tuesday of the month at 5pm (Gathering Space)
This welcoming group gathers monthly to enjoy good books and meaningful conversation. Whether you’re an avid reader or just looking to connect, all are invited to join in.
1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays fron 8:30-11:30am (Fellowship Hall)
This dedicated group gathers to create quilts for people in need both locally and around the world. Made with care and faith, these quilts provide warmth, comfort, and a reminder of God’s love to those who receive them.
Join this welcoming group to knit or crochet while enjoying fellowship and conversation. Together, they create handmade items as part of the “Made with Love at FLC” ministry, sharing care and encouragement with others through their work.
Serve our community by helping with food distribution through Second Harvest. Volunteers work together to provide nourishment and care for neighbors in need, making a meaningful impact through simple acts of service.
Join us as we take part in the CROP Hunger Walk, working together with our community to help end hunger. Through walking and fundraising, we support efforts that provide meals locally and promote long-term food security around the world.
Join us for a fun and active way to connect through Men’s Softball. This group gathers during the summer months to play at Dawson’s Complex, building camaraderie, enjoying friendly competition, and sharing in fellowship on and off the field.
First Lutheran Church Women is open to all women of FLC and offers a variety of opportunities to grow in faith, build relationships, and serve others. Whether through service, fellowship, or leadership, there is a place for everyone to get involved.
