As one year turns to the next, we celebrate the gifts of the past year and focus our attention on our vision and purpose as a community in 2022.
We have been blessed by our Creator with the knowledge and love of Jesus and a faith rooted in the gracious gift of God’s love and life. Such a gift of love invites our active participation. It moves us into relationship with others on a shared adventure, shaped by the love that God keeps pouring out to us. It is a gift that is meant to flow through us to others — “as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10)
What we do with the gifts we have received is our stewardship. In gratitude for the love and life that we have received from God, we steward our time, talents, and treasure, serving others, both individually and together as the family of First Lutheran Church.
The stewarding of our financial gifts is an important part of realizing this vision. During the month of January we are inviting our whole congregation to reflect on this vision and to take a step forward in financial support of our goals. We ask that you take time during this season to reflect on our outreach ministries, the leadership of our staff, the space that our building provides, the service we offer to our community, and the relationships that are nurtured through all that we do together.
Will you embrace this adventure? We hope we can Count You In!
